FB CAPTION CHALLENGE – 6

Again this time the entries that I have received were very less. The picture was very nice but probably didn’t interest the participants much. But those of you, who have participated and deciphered it was excellent. They were commendable which are given below:

Kalpana Kameshwari Vogeti: “No matter how small a splash you make, at the end of the day it’s the ripple effect that gets registered which is always huge.”

Archana Dipu: Overcome your weakness. Turn them into your wings. Go, conquer that story.”

Preeta Bhatnagar: Don’t be afraid to take chances! Go ahead and explore.”

Vishal Bheeroo: Chew more than you can and when it hits the hardest! Get knocked and up to rise and soar!”

Sandhya Parida Majumdar: May my faith always be like a hummingbird…returning to its favorite place, where she can quench her thirst.”

Prabhjot Kaur Saini: It doesn’t matter if I am big or small, I will make a difference to the world around me…”

Mrs. Sandhya’s caption impressed me a lot as it tells how in our gloomy life and unsatisfied life only God can quench our thirst if we come to Him. But after discussing with few of my friends (not on Candles Online) it is my delight to announce the best one from all the above entries is Prabhjot’s as it reflects the message without talking about the objects that are seen to our eyes. So to speak, it is indirect and helps us to look at the picture again to affirm the message conveyed by her. Beautiful reflection!!!

 CONGRATULATIONS, PRABHJOT KAUR SAINI!

We can make our lives sublime,
    And, departing, leave behind us
Light to guide us in our time…”
  11. Charul Batra Mehandiratta – “I am totally concentrated on my aim of a bright future.”
  12. Avijeet Dey – “This little light of mine, I am gonna let it shine!
Let it shine, let it shine & let it shine.” 😁
  13. Avinash Das – “Well, Shining in the darkness is reflecting the glory of light that bask within.”

I was really happy to have a few entries outside my friend list. That tells me people are a game for this challenge and I should be doing it frequently in short spans. It was a great challenge with such beautiful quotes and one-liners but as you all know that I will have to choose only one winner out of all the entries.

Four quotes really touched me deep within – they were crafted beautifully by Kalpana, Deeksha, Kuljeet, and Shwetha. But the winner is – SHWETHA RISHI. It talks about hope, trust in the glow (God) and self-confidence. Thus, it inspired me a lot.

CONGRATULATIONS!

(NOTE: The Winning Certificate is posted as the featured picture of this article and displayed on the sidebar of the site  along with previous ones)

FB CAPTION COMPETITION – 4

Let’s see the entries:

Moreover, it was really a very WITTY quote so I chose it to be the best.

FB BEST CAPTION COMPETITION – 3

This time I took long to announce the winner but this time there were 25 entries and it was difficult for me to decide which one was the best. All entries were fabulous and I thank all of you to participate enthusiastically. There were few Biblical metaphors and a Bible verse which can’t be compared with other entries so they are not considered though they were absolutely fitting for the picture.

Following are the captions for the picture:

FB BEST CAPTION COMPETITION – 2

This picture looked easy but was kind of difficult to explain yet people have responded with enthusiasm and fun. They taught me so much by their ideas and perspectives about this picture. They talked about life, love, partners, marriage, relationships and friendships. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hope my fellow authors and bloggers will enjoy them as well.

Following are the entries:

Avinash Das: “‘Q & A’ – Questions in life is like that black coffee ‘Raw – Few people like it – Incomplete – Unapproachable Look’ but Answers to those life’s questions brings the real taste – real look – approachable to all”

Sreepriya Menon: “Like black tea and milk, they blend together to make a family.”

Shrabani Tripathy: LIFE HAPPENS….TEA & COFFEE HELPS..😃

Pradita Kapahi: “He and she never agree…If he likes it black, she likes it sweet. But he and she can’t live without the other.. and that, in love, is what matters.”

Kalpana Kameshwari Vogeti: “Hold your cup and opportunities well before there’s a slip.”

Nerella Sima Das: “Contents in the cup 🏆 and the colour of the shirts are not same..whereas Sitting together and Holding the cup 🏆 in the same way..that’s all about the harmony of friendship 😊.”

Subha Smita: “‘U & Me’ – Different but always together..

Esther Bardhan: “We Agree to Disagree: When Perspectives Merge at Love.”

Gregory G Lewis: “Whether black or white, it’s all coffee on the inside.”

Vidhi Bomb: “Life is part coffee beans and part tea leaves. Dark and dreary sometimes, subtle and beautiful the other times.”

Geetmalini Sahu: “‘As u lyk it’ – sum lyk black & strong coffee ; while sum others prefer coffee creamy n blended with milk.”

Sony Abhishek Rout: “Life is about options. Options co-exists. Our choice, is what matters in the end.”

Arpita Mohanty: “Two aspect of life – i.e. Bitterness and Sweetness.”

Kuljeet Saini: “Life is black and white… It’s up to us to paint the colors in it…”
I don’t want to delay announcing the best one which I chose to be the winner of this particular competition… Esther Bardhan’ caption impacted me more for her simple, sweet yet very profound thought about any relationships, mostly about marriage.

 CONGRATULATIONS, ESTHER BARDHAN!

FB BEST CAPTION COMPETITION – 1

It was Friday and I was kinda bored. I thought let me have some intelligent fun competition on FB. So, I posted a thought-provoking picture on my Facebook timeline asking my friends and relatives to write a caption (a word, few words or a sentence) describing that picture. And the results were berserk…

Preeta: “Everything is here, yet it’s incomplete!”

Pradita: “Game of Thrones – Mini!”

Prabhjot: “Hogwarts!”

Kalpana: “Free Yet Slaves!”

Rima: “Once upon a time…in a faraway land…!”

Ashrita“Castles can be built when you lose trap of the virtual world and embrace verity!”

Smruti Rekha: “We’d rather be incarcerated in the fortress of virtuality than perceive the reality!”

Aditi“Building Castles in the Virtual World” – a harsh but real tweak to the old idiom “Building Castles in the air!”

Sreela: “Westeros!”

Rain: Access to the World!”

Avinash: “Chained!”

Gregory: “Where’s the bathroom?”

Kuljeet: “Ok so that’s the virtual castle my kids visit everyday…!”

Parimita: “iCastle on an iPhone: Crush the Castle to unlock!”

Abhinanda: “Imagination – There are no rules of architecture for a castle on the phone!”

All the entries or the captions were excellent and meaningful in their own ways but out of those 15 entries, Preeta Bhatnagar‘s caption moved me. It was absolutely simple, meaningful and well framed. Thus, I chose that as the best and am declaring her as the winner of this contest. I had promised earlier of a surprise reward for the best caption, so she will be receiving a Candles Online Poster Certificate as the winner of the competition.

Congratulations, Preeta Bhatnagar!
