They said my heart was different, They said its beats were different, They said it wasn’t the perfect heart, They said my heart wasn’t strong.

I smiled at them and a chuckle left my lips, It took me a minute to sort the thoughts, I took a deep breath and closed my eyes , And I looked into my imperfect heart.

Yes my heart was different, it could feel everyone’s pain, Yes it’s beats were different, it felt more happiness, more pain, Yes it wasn’t the perfect heart, it was too big, it had love for all, Yes my heart wasn’t strong, I wonder how it went through so much pain since day one, Yes it was a weak heart, but it never let me be weak, it fought valiant each day, Yes it was a heart that caused me so much heartache, yet it was hell bent on loving passionately, deeply, unconditionally. Yes it was a faulty heart, but it wasn’t finding faults in mankind, it was too eager to forgive! Yes it was a heart that made my nights sleepless, yet it had so many dreams locked into its walls, Yes this heart laid many obstacles in my way, but it helped me sail over those raging storms too, Yes this heart made it hard for me to find my special someone, but this heart made my love, love me back, Yes this heart makes each day a struggle, but it beats in my chest, telling me you are alive, so live each day to  the fullest, Yes my heart took a lot from me, but this heart gave me a lot too, it taught me to value the small things in life, Yes my ungrateful heart made me grateful, my heart brought me darkness and brought me light, my heart showed me to see the positivity in the negativity. Bless my heart, it is beautiful, it is humble and kind, it’s tender and loving, it’s my heart, and I love it from all my heart.

FOUNDED:

CANDLES has been founded by Chiradeep Patra in 2006 January in printed booklet form after he was prompted by God in that same loving heart. The main objective was to promote holistic well-being of human being and motivating to lead the best life possible.

CANDLES lasted for 8 years. But due to lack of readership and other unavoidable reasons this has been decided that CANDLES will be published online. Hence, from 11th July 2015 CANDLES ONLINE has been running successfully on the web. 

 PUBLICATION PROCEDURES:

There are various writers who will be contributing their write-ups for ‘CANDLES Online.’ One article will be published on the evening of every Sundays of the week on a topic. There will be another article in the “Final Words” section from the editor summing up the week’s topic on every Saturdays. During the 5 weekdays between a Sunday till the Saturday there will be Snippets which will be published by various writers on the week’s topic. Publishing of all the articles & snippets will be scheduled at 7 PM.

Further changes of plans will be intimated.
